RLCS 2021-22 - Stockholm Fall Major

The RLCS 2021-22 - Stockholm Fall Major was my first LAN event. At this event I was in a league operations role, that included both match admin and stage admin duties.

 

My match admin duties involved:

 

• Creating and sending lobby information to teams
• Overseeing matches so that they are completed in line with tournament rules
• Raising match issues with the Regional Manager, as well as helping to resolve them myself inside the lobby
• Saving and uploading match replays
• Working with the broadcast team to keep each other informed of important events, and to time the start of matches.

 

 

While the stage admin duties were:

 

• Getting the players setup and comfortable on stage for their matches
• Helping to fix technical issues that arose during matches
• Sanitising stations between matches and swapping SSDs for the new teams

 

There were also additional tournament related responsibilities, such as SSD setup days before the main event started to ensure players were comfortable with their tournament setups. Also building and testing the tournament station PCs for the tournament.  As well as coming up with new LAN processes as this was the first RLCS LAN for a couple of years due to COVID.
